If I were to ask most holistic coaches what they feel pressured by the most when working with clients, many will share they feel pressured to provide their clients quick solutions and results.

A significant part of my work with holistic professionals involves helping them release the pressure they feel from clients to provide them a quick fix.

Most clients demand quick fixes because they simply have had it and cannot endure their situation anymore. They are tired, frustrated and seeking instant relief.
It is unrealistic and unfair to expect parents to have patience and celebrate progress when they are physically and emotionally struggling.
While instant fixes can happen and have their place from time to time, the reality is that many solutions require time in order to obtain long term results. Many challenges we experience are due to health and lifestyle habits that took a while to condition and will take a while to reshape.

When we demand or feel pressured to have quick results, we usually go to extremes to accomplish them, thus experiencing short term outcomes. As a result, full evaluations, gradual transitions and progress leading to long term results are often are overlooked and not given the value they deserve.
.
If a potential client approaches me and wants me to ensure her that I will provide her quick results, I let them know up front that my approach is holistic and whether a result is quick or will take time depends on many factors. But more importantly I equip my clients with tools for instant relief so they can recharge and refuel. As a result they feel prepared and confident to implement my holistic action steps, and manage their child’s sleep circumstances.
