How do you respond to a potential client who is eager to set up a call before filling out and submitting the necessary client forms?

The best way to approach a potential client who wants to speak before filling out the necessary coaching client forms is to strike a balance between accommodating their request and maintaining your professional process.  Show that you understand their desire to speak before completing the forms. For example, say, “I understand that you’d like to have a conversation before filling out the forms.” Politely explain why the forms are essential to the process, such as gathering key information to ensure an effective and productive conversation. You could say, “The forms help me gather important background information so that I can better understand your needs and provide the best support during our conversation.” If you feel confident with your professional boundaries, offer to briefly speak with them, but emphasize that the forms will still need to be completed. For instance, say, “I’d be happy to have a quick chat to address any immediate questions you have, and we can dive deeper once the forms are completed.” Gently guide them back to the form process by making it as easy as possible, like offering to send the form via email or guiding them through it step by step.
