From exhausted new mother to one of Asia’s leading voices in pediatric and adult sleep health.
At the International Parenting & Health Institute (IPHI), we are proud to celebrate graduates who transform personal experiences into meaningful careers that improve lives around the world.
Today’s Graduate Spotlight celebrates Lydia Chan, founder of The Sleep Code, an IPHI-certified Integrative Adult Sleep Coach, sleep educator, consultant, and Asia Regional Director of the Association of Professional Sleep Consultants, based in Hong Kong.
Through evidence-informed coaching, education, and corporate sleep health programs, Lydia helps adults, families, and organizations improve sleep, health, and overall well-being.
A Personal Journey That Sparked a Mission
Like many parents, Lydia’s journey into sleep began after the birth of her son.
Months of fragmented sleep left her physically exhausted and emotionally drained. Searching for answers introduced her to the world of sleep science and ultimately changed not only her family’s nights but her own perspective on health.
As her own sleep improved, so did her patience, energy, and ability to fully enjoy motherhood.
That transformation inspired a much bigger mission.
Lydia realized that sleep challenges extend far beyond infancy. Adults around the world silently struggle with chronic sleep deprivation, affecting nearly every aspect of their physical, emotional, and professional lives.
Expanding Her Knowledge Through IPHI
Committed to understanding sleep through a holistic, multidisciplinary lens, Lydia completed the Integrative Adult Sleep Coach Certification through the International Parenting & Health Institute (IPHI).
Her education deepened her understanding of sleep science, circadian biology, stress physiology, emotional well-being, lifestyle medicine, nutrition, and the many interconnected factors that influence restorative sleep across the lifespan.
She has continued to expand her expertise through advanced education in cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), sleep medicine, and neuroscience, allowing her to support babies, children, adults, families, and organizations using an evidence-informed, multidisciplinary approach.
