Graduate Spotlight: Amanda Bude, Midwife, IBCLC & Holistic Sleep Specialist

IPHI Graduate Spotlight Amanda BudeFrom Midwife to Multi-Disciplinary Family Support Expert

At the International Parenting & Health Institute (IPHI), one of our greatest sources of pride is witnessing graduates transform their education into meaningful careers that support families around the world.

Today we are honored to spotlight one of our earliest and most accomplished graduates, Amanda Bude, founder of Groovy Babies on Australia’s Gold Coast.

Amanda is an Endorsed Midwife, Registered Nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Childbirth Educator, Infant Massage Instructor, and Holistic Pregnancy & Child Sleep Specialist with nearly three decades of experience supporting families.

Her story demonstrates the power of combining professional expertise with compassionate, holistic care.

A Pioneer in Australia

Amanda made history as the first Australian midwife to complete IPHI’s Maternity, Baby and Child Sleep Consultant Certification Program.

Recognizing the importance of looking beyond sleep behaviors alone, Amanda continued her education and became a Holistic Pregnancy & Child Sleep Specialist through IPHI in 2016.

Today she is widely recognized as one of Australia’s leading sleep professionals, serving families through her practice, Groovy Babies.

Supporting Families Through Every Stage of the Journey

Unlike professionals who focus on a single area of care, Amanda provides support across multiple stages of family life, including:

Her multidisciplinary background allows her to view each family’s challenges through a broader lens, helping parents identify contributing factors that may be impacting their baby’s feeding, development, well-being, and sleep.

Turning Personal Challenges Into Professional Purpose

Amanda’s professional journey was shaped not only by her extensive clinical experience but also by her own experiences as a mother.

After having three children in less than two years, including twins who experienced reflux, colic, and cow’s milk protein intolerance, Amanda experienced firsthand the exhaustion, confusion, and overwhelm many parents face.

Those experiences deepened her understanding of what families truly need: practical support, evidence-informed guidance, compassion, and individualized solutions.

Rather than accepting one-size-fits-all approaches, Amanda pursued advanced education that allowed her to support families from a holistic perspective.

A Commitment to Lifelong Learning

Amanda’s qualifications include:

Her commitment to continuing education reflects the importance of integrating knowledge across multiple disciplines to better support families.
