From Pediatric Intensive Care to Supporting Children’s Healthy Sleep
Today we’re proud to spotlight Ingrid Celestino Rodríguez, a registered nurse from Castellón, Spain, and graduate of IPHI’s Holistic Pregnancy & Child Sleep Consultant Certification Program.
A Strong Foundation in Pediatric Nursing
Before specializing in holistic sleep, Ingrid built an impressive career caring for children in demanding healthcare settings.
She spent three years working in Pediatric Intensive Care Units (PICU) across two different hospitals, gaining invaluable experience supporting critically ill children and their families.
Today she serves as a school nurse, caring for approximately 800 children, where she continues to support children’s health, development, and wellbeing every day.
As the mother of a young child herself, Ingrid also understands firsthand the joys and challenges families experience during the early years of parenting.
Expanding Her Knowledge Through IPHI
Committed to providing compassionate, evidence-informed care, Ingrid completed the Holistic Pregnancy & Child Sleep Consultant Certification through the International Parenting & Health Institute (IPHI).
Her education expanded her understanding of the many interconnected factors that influence healthy sleep, including:
- Child development
- Infant sleep science
- Emotional wellbeing
- Family dynamics
- Nutrition
- Breastfeeding
- Sleep environment
- Holistic family-centered support
This multidisciplinary perspective complements her nursing background, allowing her to view sleep through the lens of the whole child and the whole family.
Bringing Clinical Experience and Holistic Care Together
With experience in pediatric intensive care, school health, and motherhood, Ingrid offers families a unique blend of clinical knowledge, compassion, and holistic understanding.
Her commitment to lifelong learning reflects the kind of professional who continually seeks new ways to better support children and their families.
We are proud to celebrate Ingrid’s commitment to children’s health, lifelong learning, and compassionate, whole-family care. Her background in pediatric intensive care, community nursing, and school health gives her a valuable perspective on the many physical, developmental, emotional, and environmental factors that may influence children’s sleep and overall well-being.
Congratulations, Ingrid, and thank you for the meaningful care you provide to children and families throughout Spain.
