As IPHI’s influence has expanded globally, one essential truth has become clear:
Some graduates have beautifully embodied our philosophy, honoring the relational, emotional, nervous system–based, trauma-informed, and spiritually aligned foundations of true holistic practice.
However, others, despite completing certification, later reverted to:

▪️ Protocol-driven, surface-level wellness approaches
▪️ Mainstream-only techniques that misrepresent holistic, integrative, and nervous system–based methods
Additionally, in recent years, some individuals have attempted to replicate or imitate IPHI’s concepts, language, and frameworks, without the depth, research foundation, professional ethics, or clinical training required to responsibly teach this work.

✨ A Message from Our Founder, Mar De Carlo
I founded the International Parenting & Health Institute not simply to teach techniques, but to elevate the standard of holistic education for those working with families, parents, adults, teens and future generations. From the very beginning, my intention was to fill the gaps, to provide the essential knowledge, emotional wisdom, and scientific understanding that traditional certifications overlook, so that professionals could truly support the whole person, the whole family, and the whole child.
Because when people are struggling, whether with sleep, nutrition, emotional overwhelm, identity, stress, or parenting, it is rarely a single isolated issue. It is a human experience. And that requires compassion, science, embodiment, ethics, nervous system safety, and spiritual presence.
Children are at the heart of it all. They are our future, and they deserve approaches that honor their biology, psychology, emotions, attachment, environment, and spirit, not reduce their needs to behavior or protocols. I have poured my heart and soul into building programs and methods that honor that depth. Many of you know, I have always gone above and beyond in giving my time, energy, wisdom, and mentorship to help you carry this work forward with integrity.
And as we expand into this new era, one of higher-level partnerships, institutional collaboration, research integration, and global leadership, I must honor that sacred responsibility in a new way.
Our certifications have never been just about knowledge. They have always been about embodiment, ethics, emotional intelligence, spiritual responsibility, and becoming trusted guardians of this work.
We have never been just an educational institution. We are a movement.
