Why This Neurologist Expanded Into Adult Sleep Coaching

Dr. Nele Dietrich, Neurologist and Integrative Adult Sleep CoachOne of the greatest strengths of the International Parenting & Health Institute (IPHI) community is the diversity of professionals who recognize that lasting health often requires looking beyond symptoms alone.

Today’s Graduate Spotlight celebrates Dr. Nele Dietrich, a board-certified neurologist, Integrative Adult Sleep Consultant, mentor, speaker, and advocate for women’s health based in the Zürich and St. Gallen regions of Switzerland.

After years of practicing neurology, Dr. Dietrich chose to expand her expertise through IPHI’s Integrative Adult Sleep Coach Certification, bringing together medical knowledge, sleep science, circadian biology, and lifestyle medicine to better support adults experiencing sleep challenges.

Looking Beyond Symptoms

As a neurologist, Dr. Dietrich understands the profound relationship between sleep and brain health.

Throughout her medical career, she recognized that many adults struggling with poor sleep, insomnia, fatigue, and stress often benefit from a broader, more individualized approach that complements traditional medical care.

Rather than focusing solely on symptom management, she became increasingly interested in exploring the many factors that influence restorative sleep, including lifestyle habits, circadian regulation, stress, nervous system health, and daily routines.

That curiosity ultimately led her to the International Parenting & Health Institute, where she chose to further expand her knowledge through the Integrative Adult Sleep Coach Certification.

Bringing Medicine and Holistic Sleep Together

Today, Dr. Dietrich combines her background in neurology with holistic sleep coaching to help adults improve their sleep through sustainable lifestyle changes and evidence-informed education.

Her work encourages clients to understand not only how they sleep, but why sleep challenges may be occurring in the first place.

By integrating medical knowledge with a personalized, whole-person perspective, she empowers individuals to make meaningful changes that support both restorative sleep and long-term well-being.

Helping Women Reclaim Rest

One of Dr. Dietrich’s greatest passions is helping women rediscover restorative sleep.

As she beautifully explains:

“I bring women back to sleep so that when they are well rested again, we have the strength and the resilience to change this world together.”

This philosophy reflects her belief that quality sleep is not simply about getting through the night—it is an essential foundation for health, resilience, leadership, and living well.

Supporting Professionals and Communities

In addition to working independently with clients, Dr. Dietrich contributes to Switzerland’s professional community as a mentor and speaker through organizations including Fempreneurs Switzerland and Women’s Hub Zurich.

Her work reflects the growing recognition that improving sleep often benefits from collaboration between medicine, education, coaching, and lifestyle medicine.

She is helping bridge these worlds while encouraging a broader conversation about adult sleep health.
